For all printers the setup process will be similar. And for more information on the process to connect to ConsignCloud, check out this article. No matter the brand it is necessary to ensure that:

  1. The printer shows up in your computer’s local Printers & Scanners page. If not, it needs to be connected (usually by a USB cord) and show up there.

  2. That the correct driver has been downloaded from your specific printer brand’s website. I have linked to some drivers below. (Sometimes these can be difficult to find so feel free to message the chat box if you need assistance to find the correct one.)

Here is Dymo's resource for all their drivers, you will need to download the correct driver for your specific Dymo LabelWriter and computer (Mac or Windows) before proceeding.

USB Connection:

  1. Ensure DYMO Software is installed on your computer. Install it if needed.

  2. Plug the USB cable into the printer using your computer’s USB port. Avoid using a USB hub or docking station.

  3. Turn on the printer— the USB status light should be on.

  4. The printer will install automatically. Check your "Printers and Scanners" page to confirm. If not click "Add Printer".

  5. Download the ConsignCloud Print Client for your specific computer's processing system (Mac or Windows).

  6. Log in to the Print Client once downloaded.

  7. You should see your Dymo LabelWriter now active in the Print Client and in ConsignCloud's Printers page and can now print. If you have any problems at this point, please use the chat function and we will help you as soon as possible.

Network Connection:

  1. For LabelWriter 550 Turbo and 5XL, connect a LAN cable (not included) to the printer and network port.

  2. Turn on the printer if necessary. The LAN status light should be on.

  3. Install DYMO Connect for Desktop on all networked computers.

  4. In DYMO Connect, go to File > Add Network Printer. Select and rename the printer if desired, then click Next.
