Getting Started

The first step in getting your store ready to accept credit cards is to fill out our Merchant Application. This can look daunting, but only takes about ten minutes, and in most cases you'll be able to start accepting cards immediately using our fully integrated, secure web interface.

Note: processing is currently only available to US merchants, and you'll need to have a card on file before signing up (you can add one here).

There are a few pieces of information you'll want to have available before your start your application:

  • Your own Social Security Number and the Employer Identification Number for your business.
  • The Social Security Number, date of birth, ownership percentage, and contact information for each significant owner of your business (anyone with more than 25% ownership).
  • Your average and maximum ticket sizes, and your desired limit for monthly credit card transactions.
  • Your business bank account information.

Once you have reviewed and submitted your application, you should be good to go! With occasional exceptions, ProPay allows you to immediately process transactions manually using our fully-integrated, secure web interface. In the meantime, if you ordered a processing terminal it will be shipped and arrive within just a few business days.

Manual Entry

When you are ready to finalize a sale and want to accept a card, click on "Credit Card" in the payment dialog and click "enter manually" at the bottom.

This will open the credit card payment interface. Just enter the customer's card number, expiration date, and CVC.

After that, hit "Submit", and you're done! Your transaction will immediately show up in the ProPay Merchant Gateway, and the funds will reach your bank account in 3-5 business days.

Processing with a Terminal

ConsignCloud works with the Nomad POS, a versatile little mobile unit which accepts all major forms of payment — in and out of your store — for under $250.

The first thing you'll want to do when your terminal arrives in the mail is slide the back of the device off and install the battery. You'll also find a USB charging cord underneath the cardboard packaging. Next, connect it to your wireless network. Pull down from the top of the screen and click on the wifi symbol, navigate to your network, and enter your wifi password.

You'll then want to link the terminal with your processing account so it can start accepting transactions. Find the the "AnyPay Cloud POS" app (you might have to swipe right once to find it), and enter your Activation Code and Vendor Key, which you can find on the Payments section of ConsignCloud's settings.

When you're ready to process a card at point of sale, select the terminal you want to process with (the software will remember your preference for future sales). ConsignCloud will say "Waiting for terminal", and your terminal should light up to take your card. If it doesn't, make sure the terminal is on and the screen is unlocked.

At this point, you'll just need to swipe, dip, or tap, collect a signature, and you're done!
