While Square, Clover, and others are certainly attractive options for businesses just starting out, we've found that over the long haul, they aren't an ideal fit for many folks. The big difference is that a non-integrated solution (and any other third-party POS) requires recording sales in two places, which can be a time-consuming and error-prone process. In contrast, letting ConsignCloud handle payment processing for you means better technical support, a smoother setup process, and fewer moving parts to distract you when processing sales — the most crucial part of your business.

That said, if you prefer to stick with your current card processing setup, you can still use it. Basically, you would use the ConsignCloud POS to ring up the items, apply discounts, process refunds, and total the transaction, then use your card processor to receive any card payments. You would then return to ConsignCloud to finalize the transaction.
