Creating and Customizing Your Gift Card
To start using Gift Cards, go to your Sales Table and click on the "Gift Cards" Tab at the top of your screen. In the upper right hand corner, you'll find the button "+ Create Gift Card". Click this button to get started!

To start customizing your gift card, add a balance. You're welcome to enter a custom barcode, but this is optional, and ConsignCloud will autogenerate a barcode when that field is left blank. Optionally, you can associate the gift card with an Account.

Selling a Gift Card
Gift cards can also be sold in the ConsignCloud POS. On the far right column of the POS is the option to "Buy Gift Card". From there, you can either choose one of the recommended prices or a custom Gift Card amount. The Barcode for this Gift Card will auto-populate a number, but you can make this code anything you want.

Printing Gift Cards
We don't currently offer a way to print gift cards, but many services like this one print gift cards on demand. We recommend you pre-purchase these cards in the increments you're planning to sell, and scan the barcode in to ConsignCloud when creating or selling one.
Using Gift Cards in the Point of Sale
To use a Gift Card as a payment type, ring up a sale as you normally would, and click "Pay" at the bottom of your screen. Then, scroll down the list of payment options and find "Gift Cards". Once that option is selected, enter your gift card code (or scan the barcode of the gift card if printed out), and enter the amount from the gift card you would like to apply.

NOTE: ConsignCloud will not allow you to over-charge the gift card. If there's still a balance on the sale, you'll be asked to enter an additional payment.
